Retailer guide

This guide is for retailers a supplier has listed on Stockisto. Suppliers use Stockisto as the record of where their products end up, and to run the "where to buy" pages on their websites. It covers claiming your listing, completing your profile, keeping your store data current, and reading your dashboard. You need no technical knowledge.

What Stockisto does for retailers

Suppliers use Stockisto to run the "where to buy" pages on their websites. When a shopper searches there, your store can appear on the map with address, opening hours, stock status, showroom and services.

Your job is to claim your listing and keep it current. Fresh, complete data means you appear more often and rank higher.

The supplier lists you first

A supplier creates your listing and sends you a claim invite by email. No invite? Ask the supplier to send one.

Claiming your listing

Claiming links the listing to your account so you can manage it.

Step 1: Open the invite email

The claim email carries two credentials for the same claim: a magic link and a 6-digit code. Click the link, or open the claim page and enter the code.

The link expires

If you see Link invalid or expired, click Email me a new link or Enter the code from that email instead. Always use the newest email.

Step 2: Confirm the claim

Stockisto checks the link or code. On success you see Listing claimed! with your business name. If the email address already owns a Stockisto workspace, you first confirm how to merge the two.

Step 3: Complete your profile

Click Complete your profile. A short wizard walks you through five steps: Store details, Location responsibility, Connect stock, Services you offer and Finish your profile.

Signing in later

Sign in to Retailer Admin with a password, with Google, or with a magic link sent to your email. Forgot your password? Use Send reset link.

Completing your profile

Your listing shows as a claimed listing with a full profile once it passes these checks:

  1. You have at least one location.
  2. That location has a stock status on at least one product.
  3. Its showroom setting is saved, on or off.
  4. It has at least one service tag.

Open Finish your profile in the wizard and click Check and finish. Anything missing is listed under Still to do before your profile is complete, with a link to each section. When all checks pass you see Your profile is complete.

Keeping your listing current

Retailer Admin groups its pages into My store, Network, Setup and Account. The pages below matter most.

Profile

Profile (under Setup) holds your company details: Legal name, Display name, Org number, VAT number, About your store, Public email, Phone, Website, Instagram and Trustpilot review page.

Locations

Locations lists your stores, showrooms, pickup points and online channels. Click Add location to add one. Each location has its own page with:

  • Location name and Type
  • Street address, Postal code, City, Country
  • Website, Phone, Public email
  • Latitude and Longitude, which place the pin on the map
  • Opening hours, set per weekday, with a fallback text
  • Services offered: the tags shown as badges on the locator

Service tags are Installation, Design Consultation, Warranty Service, Measurement Service, Delivery, Assembly Service and Showroom.

Only tag services you deliver

Service badges set shopper expectations and count in ranking. Tag what you can actually provide.

Stock

Stock shows one location at a time. Each row is a product (SKU) with a status and an optional quantity. Statuses are In stock, Low stock, Out of stock and Carries the line.

Changes save as you make them. Rows imported from a wholesaler catalog show a lock on the quantity; you can still change the status. Every change records when the row was last confirmed.

The same page has a Google local inventory panel that turns fresh rows into a Merchant Center feed. See the Google Merchant Center guide.

Showroom

Showroom sets, per location, whether shoppers can see products in person:

  • Toggle This location is a showroom. This enables the showroom badge on supplier locators.
  • Add a Showroom description.
  • Describe Products on display in free text.

Services

Services (under My store) is your public service catalog: Installation, Removal & disposal, Delivery, Maintenance & repair, Design consultation, Measuring & survey and Emergency call-out. Each service is published or draft. This catalog is separate from the service tags on a location.

Suppliers

Suppliers (under Network) shows which suppliers list your store. Suppliers create the link; you accept or decline pending invites under Connections.

Questions and reviews

Questions shows approved shopper questions about your store. Answering publishes the answer on your store page.

Reviews shows moderated shopper reviews. You can reply on your store page. You cannot remove a review.

Installers

Installers lets you recommend installers you trust. They get a Recommended by badge with your name on the public installer finder.

Account

  • Users: invite colleagues with a role and store scope.
  • Refer: your referral link and how many stores it brought in.
  • Settings: notification preferences, privacy and data, and store ownership transfer.

Your dashboard

Dashboard and Analytics are two tabs of one page. Figures default to the last 30 days.

Overview tab

The What it earns you strip shows six tiles, each with a change against the prior period: Estimated value, Leads & enquiries, Directions & collect requests, Supplier co-funding, Profile views and CTA clicks.

Below the strip:

  • Visibility score: a score out of 100 explaining why you rank where you do. It has three meters: Location relevance, Data freshness and Assortment depth.
  • Data freshness: products that need a stock confirmation, with Confirm stock and Remind in 7 days. It reads All fresh when nothing is due.
  • Complete your locations, Supplier data checks, Your locations, Supplier connections, Preferred installers and Recent activity.

Analytics tab

The Analytics tab has a date range picker, a channel filter (store, showroom, online) and a location filter. It shows attributed value by channel, outcome tiles (Enquiry calls, Direction requests, Service bookings, Collect orders), views against CTA clicks over time, views per supplier, product interest and traffic sources.

Where the numbers come from

The figures reflect real shopper activity on the supplier locators you appear on. New listings start low and build as shoppers find you.

Keeping your data fresh

Stockisto records when each stock row was last confirmed. Old rows lower your Data freshness meter and can drop out of locator results. A supplier can also send you a refresh request.

  • Confirm stock from the Data freshness card or re-save rows on Stock.
  • Keep Showroom and Services offered accurate as your store changes.
