Introduction

Stockisto is the supplier’s record of the channel: which retailers and installers carry their products, and where the demand lands. These docs cover everything from importing your retailer network to embedding the locator and calling the API.

New here? Start with the Getting started guide: trial signup, the five-step setup wizard, and your first publish.

Core concepts

A supplier owns a network of retailers. Each retailer has one or more locations (store, showroom, online or pickup) and a stock status per product. The locator renders this network on the supplier’s site.

Supplier: owns branding, billing and the retailer network.
Retailer: claims and maintains its own listing and stock.
Installer: receives routed fitting jobs from the network.

Install a saved widget

Copy the snippet from your saved widget in the admin. The id below is an example; replace it with your saved embed id. Paste the script where the widget belongs. It inserts its own host, without a slot div.

index.html
<script
  src="https://cdn.test.stockisto.com/widget.js"
  data-api-base="https://api.test.stockisto.com"
  data-embed="we_0123456789abcdef0123456789abcdef"
  async></script>

Authentication

The authenticated REST API is live. Create an API key from the Developers page in your admin, then verify it and make your first read below. The anonymous public locator API is also available (see the embed & integrations guide).

The REST API uses bearer tokens: pass your secret key in the Authorization header (or an X-API-Key header), keep live keys server-side, and never ship them in client code. For the full endpoint list and request/response schemas, use the generated public API reference. To push your own market data into Stockisto instead of using the dashboard, see the public imports API guide.

For source-data partners, the Public Intake API guide explains the separate, StockistoAdmin-issued intake key.

# Create an API key on the Developers page, then verify it
curl https://api.test.stockisto.com/api/public/v1/ping \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_..."

# Make your first read
curl https://api.test.stockisto.com/api/public/v1/retailers \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_..."
